In light of changing attitudes and laws, A&R and Tripp Design have taken on the challenge to produce a yacht that will be able to access even the most sensitive ecological environments.

The gateway to true hybrid powering in motor yachts needs to begin with hull efficiency. To access zero emission energy, the design of the elemental power hull significantly lowers drag, thus reducing the amount of energy being used and stored as well as increasing the range and time that the yacht can operate at zero emission. Elemental power has a 33% tested gain in efficiency compared to current motor yachts of the same size and GRT.

A&R has long been building hybrid vessels with diesel electric powertrains. By decreasing power requirements and utilizing battery technology, it is now possible to run both on battery power and as a silent ship for extended periods, creating a virtuous spiral using proven technology.

The improved hull design also offers a variety of further positive developments, including monetary savings, more safety, a better layout and more comfort.
