This 77' sloop is a great example of our Café Racer concept. Built at Baltic Yachts in Finland, this yacht is to meet very exacting standards set by her owner. Various steps have been taken to ensure this. Jens Cornelsen ensured an airtight project management; Rhoades Young Design brought their light and fresh approach to the interior, whilst Tripp Design made full use of their experience in this type of yacht to meet the owner's requirements.

Only the best products and technologies are being used on this project.
- Instead of standard two-dimensional drawings, a full 3D model of the boat has been created between Tripp design and Baltic including structure, interior and systems. This enables a higher degree of detailing as well as a faster turn around time for changes.
- The extensive use of carbon sandwich expands beyond the hull, deck and structure to incorporate most of the interior; saving precious kilos.
- The rig and rigging follow the same trend of using the best. The intermediate modulus carbon mast will be built by Hall Spars and will be fitted with Future Fibers PBO rigging. Furling headsails will include Code 0, Jib and Staysail using furling units recently developed for Tripp Design by Reckmann.

If all this technology sounds more at home on a race boat, its only purpose here is to create a fast, comfortable and easy to sail cruising yacht. To this end, a lifting keel has been added to the mix to complete the dual role of shallow water cruiser and blue water greyhound.

‘Black Pearl’ has a raised salon. Her layout offers three guest cabins, a generous owner’s suite as well as spacious and functional crew quarters for two. A very welcoming entertainment area is housed under the roof and affords uninterrupted views of the yacht’s surroundings. The overall deck design provides well-protected family areas and an open, functional sailing cockpit; all surrounded by a sleek roof extended aft by two protective coamings.
