Designed for racing and fast cruising, this 60' sloop has been developed to perform very well on the race course, as well as on extended cruises. Drawing heavily from our extensive experience with IMS 40' and 50' race boats, this yacht features a slender, easily driven hull shape, which will prove both sea kindly and very fast. Equally at home in Mediterranean circuit or the Newport-Bermuda race, this yacht is designed for the person who wants a modern yacht, uncompromised in design and execution.

Construction utilizes an efficient combination of Aramid and E-Glass fibres over PVC cores giving a stiff and strong structure that is also extremely resistant to impact damage. The lifting keel if fitted into an integral box structure that effectively locks together the hull, deck and internal structure.

The interior layout is extensive, providing a space that will suit 3 adult couples for extended periods. Forward is the owners cabin with a double berth and featuring an ensuite head. Located abeam the keel box is the galley and navigation area making both these essential tasks possible in even a heavy seaway. The main salon is spacious and provides sitting room for up to 8 adults and sleeping berths for 2. Aft of this area are two aft cabins and a common day head.

On deck there is a spacious cockpit with twin wheels aft. The rig is a carbon masthead with set up for fully overlapping genoa headsails. Both symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers may be used, offering a maximum number of race modes. This sail plan combined with the highly efficient ballast package and this yachts light weight will give sparkling performance both on and off the wind.

Designed for an owner who is equally interested in cruising and racing, this is a full dual purpose boat. The spinnaker pole can be lashed down on the foredeck, acting as a fixed bowsprit when cruising spinnakers are hoisted with a sock. While racing, the pole is used as a normal pole on a track on the mast. The furling unit for the furling headsail is set under deck, allowing a deep tack on the racing headsails that can be set in the double groove foil.

Three of the cockpit winches can be electrically driven, enabling easy trimming of main and headsail in cruising mode. The grinder pedestal in the middle of the cockpit, which is used to drive the primaries in racing mode, provides the support for the cockpit table when the racing is over. A flat screen TV at the settee in the main salon is perfect for watching DVDs on a night at anchor, and also serves as a second navigation screen, with a computer based routing software.

The inboard part of the settee, and adjacent cupboard on top of the engine box, can be easily removed, freeing up more space in the salon for racing sails. The elaborate turning table of the main settee can be replaced with a simple table to conform with racing rules.
